Stranger in Paradise is een Alkmaars powertrio dat melodie en rauwheid moeiteloos met elkaar verweeft. Geworteld in de alternatieve rock van de jaren ’80 en ’90, maar met een eigentijdse energie, bouwde de band sinds 2021 gestaag aan een herkenbare eigen sound: direct, dynamisch en emotioneel eerlijk.
De eerste releases, waaronder Dangerous, Try2, Running Away en publieksfavoriet Katie, laten een band horen die niet om de hete brij heen draait. Korte, urgente nummers met een stevige drive, gedragen door een hechte ritmesectie en duidelijke melodielijnen. Live bewezen deze tracks zich al snel als sterke set‑motoren.
In de jaren daarna verbreedde Stranger in Paradise zijn muzikale palet. Met latere singles als Behind the Spotlight en In Paradise schoof de band op richting meer gelaagdheid en melodische ruimte, zonder de rauwe energie te verliezen.
